Good Practices

"In this process of building our tourist experiences, each community created its own rules known as good practices, so that our visitor understands how we hope to interact and share with them."

Cooking & Weaving Stories

Dear Tourist, we welcome you to our community and ask you to comply with the following rules of visit:

1. We please ask our visitors to respect our culture and our community

2. We please ask our visitors to respect our environment and natural resources

3. We seek to keep our community clean, we ask you not to litter in the road and in the community, and if you bring garbage we please ask you to take it with you when you return to the city.

4. We ask you not to bring drugs or alcohol to our community.

5. We do not want to motivate begging, so we ask you not to give money to children.  If you want to support the community in some way we ask you to support the school fund that we have in the community.

6. Buying Rarámuri products such as food and handicrafts helps our local economy.  Please respect our prices.

7. If you want to take pictures of our community or us, please ask before doing so.

8. If you want to walk and explore our community, ask for one of our tour guides.   As a community, we prefer the visitor not to enter our homes.

9. As we have to prepare in advance to show you the experience of cooking and craftsmanship, we ask you to notify us with a time of your visit, minimally a day before.

10. To enjoy our experience and you can have a close contact with us, we prefer groups smaller than 24 people.

11. In order to preserve the peace of our community, our ways and safety of our children, the community has decided not to allow ATVs.

12. At this stage of our project, we do not offer the hosting service and/or camping space in our community.

13. For our traditions and ceremonies, there are days that we will not open.  Thank you for your understanding.
